STRUCTURED Sober Living House

At Hatchery House, we are fully committed to offering a sober living environment for men to not only recover from drugs and/or alcohol by way of a thorough understanding of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous but to also develop a firm connection to God in a way that is very personal and real to them.  We are of the steadfast conviction that developing BOTH of these is vital to living a life recovered from our dependencies and a full and joyful life in Christ Jesus.

imply put, we are truly a high quality sober living facility with a structured program that helps us achieve far greater success than what is now viewed as "recovery norms."  Hatchery House consistently offers proven recovery principles and personal accountability with an extremely dedicated staff of caring, helpful individuals. We follow the admonition of Dr. Bob in suggesting both the “Big Book” of AA  and the “Holy Bible” should not be viewed as mutually exclusive but as ideal companions to each other as they relate to living a recovered life.

As you may well know, finding a living environment that genuinely supports a recovered lifestyle tends to be a  major challenge for many clients after attending a traditional 28 day treatment program. Despite this, it is critically important because family, friends, and roommates who encourage substance use or discourage recovery can undermine the momentum started while in a drug rehabilitation or treatment facility. Additionally, having others who are in recovery acting as accountability partners discourages one from seeking out old environments where drugs or alcohol are more prevalent.  The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)  has recommended at least ninety-days to obtain maximum benefit.

Hatchery House offers our clients a very unique program.  This uniqueness allows us the blessing of having a much higher number of long term sobriety than "normal" sober living environments.

Beyond the greater accountability mentioned above, we also participate in the following recovery related meetings.  The evening meetings listed below are considered "open meetings" in that anyone that wishes to attend is very welcome to do so.  In fact, if you are in the area, consider this your personal invitation!  We'd love to fellowship with you and give you the chance to support your loved one by your attendance.
  • In-house morning meetings starting at 6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
  • Outside AA meetings on Monday & Friday evenings.
  • Relapse Prevention & Bible Study on Sunday evenings.
  • 12 Step Bible Study based on the Serenity Bible on Tuesday evenings.
  • Bible study on Thursday evenings.
  • We also attend worship services every Sunday morning and many of our clients, past and present, actively participate in our worship services.  All clients are encouraged to attend with us or at a church of their own choosing.
